What To Expect

Everything you need to know before, during, and after

Before Your Procedure

Follow your physician’s instructions about fasting and medications.
Bring a valid ID, insurance card, and any paperwork.

Day of Surgery

Arrive at least 1 hour early for check-in.
Wear comfortable clothing and leave valuables at home.
A responsible adult must drive you home.

After Surgery

You’ll spend time in our recovery area until ready for discharge.
Written instructions will be provided.
For questions after discharge, please contact your surgeon’s office.

A family member or friend can wait with you until it’s time for your procedure, and we’ll update them during your surgery. They’ll also join you once you are in recovery.

Right after your procedure, our nurses will care for you in the recovery area. We’ll check your comfort, monitor your progress, and only discharge you once you are fully ready.

Yes. Before you leave, your nurse will walk you and your caregiver through detailed recovery instructions, answer questions, and make sure you feel confident about the next steps.

Usually, you should not eat or drink after midnight before your surgery. Your doctor will give you specific instructions.

Most procedures are outpatient, meaning you go home the same day once you’re fully awake and stable.
